While we appreciated this puzzle’s assets, it wasn’t among the limited number of puzzles chosen for publication.

Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, the Times must decline many worthy puzzles. We recognize the considerable work and creativity that goes into each puzzle we review. The theme didn't quite excite us as much as we might have hoped. We have an especially high bar for rebus puzzles becuase we have so many on file at the moment.
